PRODUCT DATA of Ti 10V 2Fe 3Al
MaterialTi 10V 2Fe 3Al
Product DatasheetTi 10-2-3
General InformationTi-10V-2Fe-3Al is a solute lean beta (near beta) titanium alloy that was developed primarily as a high-strength forging alloy. It has excellent forging characteristics, possessing flow properties at 815C similar to Ti-6Al-4V at 925C. This characteristic provides advantages, such as lower die cost and better die fill capability. This alloy also provides the best combination of strength and toughness of any of the commercially available titanium alloys From mmpds
Chemical CompositionTi+9-11V, 2.6-3.4Al, 1.6-2.2Fe

WeldingNitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and mixtures containing these gases shall not be used
Welding with alloy-matching fillers is recommended, preferably using extra Low Interstitial (ELI) filler wires
SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Lessons LearnedA great deal of care needs to be exercised to ensure complete inert gas (argon or helium) coverage during welding.
